Job Description
The Staff Accountant supports the day-to-day accounting operations of Integrated ID by maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting.
This role works closely with multiple departments to ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with company policies and accounting standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple accounting responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Tasks/Essential Functions:
- Perform month-end and year-end close activities.
- Maintain the general ledger by recording, classifying, and summarizing financial transactions.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Review and post daily invoice batches.
- Reconcile customer sales order discrepancies related to card printing services.
- Set up and maintain vendor accounts.
- Set up and maintain customer accounts in SalesPad and Microsoft Dynamics GP.
- Verify credit references for net-term customers and establish appropriate credit limits.
- Process inventory adjustments, transfers, cycle counts, and full inventory counts.
- Assist with budgets and forecasts by monitoring variances and providing financial insights.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and operational efficiency.
- Support special financial projects and accounting initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 2–5 years of accounting experience required.
- Experience with month-end close and general ledger accounting.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) and SalesPad highly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidential financial information.
